Anna Martha Pile, 87, of Bardstown, passed away Thursday March 1, 2018 at Bardstown Health and Rehab. She was born July 22, 1930 in Bardstown, a housewife and mother of four children, and a 1949 graduate of My Old Kentucky Home High School.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Pile; parents, David Edgar and Amy Susan Shipp Gilkey; two brothers, Billy Gilkey and Bobby Gilkey; and sister, Alene Briggs.
She is survived by three sons, Gary (Kelly) Pile of Bardstown, Stephen (Vanessa) Pile of Corbin, and Michael (Rosie) Pile of Bardstown; daughter, Patti (Roger) Eckert of Birdseye, Indiana; two granddaughters, Amber Valentine and Heather Pile; six grandsons, Frankie (Alex) Hibbs, Chris Pile, Casey Pile, Jamie Pile, Daniel Pile, and Jordan Pile; two great-grandsons, Cyprion Jude Valentine, and Frassati Blaise Valentine; great-granddaughter, Margot Adeline Hibbs; sister, Betty McGirk of Bardstown; and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service will be 2:00 pm Saturday March 3, 2018 at Barlow Funeral Home, with burial in Poplar Flat Cemetery. Brother Jerry Pile will officiate. Visitation will be 4 to 8 pm Friday March 2 and 1 to 2 pm Saturday March 3 at Barlow Funeral Home.
