Viola Leathers, 94, of Bardstown, passed away Saturday April 14, 2018 at Windsor Gardens. She was born August 20, 1923 in Manhattan, New York, a loving wife, mom, and grandma, a faithful Christian, and a member of N.E. Park Baptist Church in St. Petersburg, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul W. Leathers; daughter, Linda Broaddus; granddaughter, Marvena Livers; Parents, John and Linda Moore; two brothers, Leroy Moore and Herbie Davidson; and sister, Winnie Schryver.
She is survived by her two daughters, Joan (Walt) Norton of Bardstown, and Donna (Preston) Samuels of Mt. Washington; son-in-law, Bill Broaddus of Bloomfield; brother-in-law, Ralph Leathers of Georgetown, Indiana; eleven grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Her funeral service will be 2:00 pm Wednesday April 18, 2018 at Barlow Funeral Home, with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery in Bloomfield. Rev. Lisa Zahalka will officiate. Visitation will be Noon to 2 pm Wednesday April 18 at Barlow Funeral Home.
