Vincent Ray Downs

Vincent Ray Downs, 58, of Bardstown died peacefully at home on February 28, 2018, surrounded by beloved family and friends. Born in Bardstown October 15, 1959 to Joseph Ray Downs and Jean Howard Downs, he lived a full and rich life filled with family, travel, time outdoors, and meaningful work in the building industry.

He is preceded in death by his father, Ray Downs.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Rose Ann Lucas Downs, his son, Lucas Ray Downs, and his daughters, Abigail Grace “Abby” Downs, Rose Magdalene “Maggie” Downs, and Sophia Ann Downs, his mother, Jean Downs, and siblings, Joe Paul (Sharon) Downs, Virginia (D.L.) Chowning, Jimmy (Margie) Downs, Mary (Dennis) Carey, Tommy (Mary Ann) Downs, as well as nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.  Vincent’s life will be celebrated at a mass at 11:00 am  Friday at St. Gregory The Great Catholic Church, Samuels, Kentucky with visitation 3 to 8 pm Thursday at Barlow Funeral Home and 9 to 11 am Friday at St. Gregory The Great Catholic Church. 

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in his memory to Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest, P.O. Box 130, Clermont, Kentucky 40110.
