Juanita Koernke 96, of Bardstown died Monday, October 30, 2017 at Signature Healthcare at Colonial Health and Rehab. She was born October 30, 1922 in Ann Arbor, MI. She was chief of travel for the V.A. Hospital and a life time member of the Eastern Star.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William T. Koernke Sr.; and parents, Jack and Clio Shilling.
She is survived by three sons, William T. Koernke Jr. of Bardstown, John E. Koernke of Bradenton, FL., and Mark G. Koernke of Dexter, MI; two daughters, J. Carol Carter of Adrian, MI and Janice Kaye Emmons of Azalia, MI; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be 10:00 am Friday, November 3, 2017 at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in Lebanon National Cemetery. Rev. Rodney Lynch will officiate. Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm Thursday, November 2, 2017 and 9 to 10 am Friday, November 3, 2017 at Barlow Funeral Home.
