James "Pat" Patrick Miller

James Patrick “Pat” Miller, 61, of Bardstown passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2017. Surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 23, 1956 to the late Charles William Miller and Mildred Lynch Miller-Troutman. He was a 19 year employee  of the Nelson County High School district, an avid golfer, and a devoted husband and father. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Charles Lee & Alice Miller; and his niece, Charlotte Hayden.

He is survived by his loving wife Deborah “Debbie” Miller of 31 years; his daughters, Patricia “Tricia” (Mark) Brackett of Elizabethtown, Alina (James) Williams of Elizabethtown; son, Christopher “Chris”  (Robin) Ritchie of Bardstown; two sisters, Linda (Sam) Lawrence of Edgewood, KY, Sara (Jack) Clements of Bardstown; six grandchildren, Samantha Miller, James Miller, Madalyn Ritchie, Nalani Ritchie, Taylor Brackett, and Madison Brackett; a nephew he considered like a brother, Charles Michael “Mike” Miller; and many nieces and nephews.

His funeral service will be held at 11:00am Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Barlow Funeral Home with cremation to follow. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm and on Saturday, October 7, 2017 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at Barlow Funeral Home.
