James T. "Jim" Hicks

James T. “Jim” Hicks, 81, of Bardstown, passed away Sunday June 4, 2017 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.  He was born August 4, 1935 in Fairfield, owner of Settles Home Supply since 1970, United States Army Veteran, and member of KYANA Car Club of America, and Bardstown Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Jean Houck Hicks; second wife, Lee Wayne Bramlage Hicks; parents, James T. and Lillie Hicks; and sister, Ida Belle Hicks.

He is survived by his three children, Jamie (Denise) Hicks, Rebecca Hicks, and Timothy Hicks; four grandchildren, Ashley Hicks, Michelle Hicks, Sarah (Blake) Sapp, and Andrew Hicks; sister, Kathleen Settles all of Bardstown; several nieces and nephews; and his constant companion, Duke.

His funeral service will be 11:00 am Tuesday June 6, 2017 at Barlow Funeral Home, with burial in Bardstown Cemetery.  Rev. Rodney Lynch will officiate.  Visitation will be 3 to 8 pm Monday June 5 and 9 to 11 am Tuesday June 6 at Barlow Funeral Home.
