James A. "Jim" Parker

James A. “Jim” Parker, 74, of Bardstown, passed away Saturday December 9, 2017 with his family in Bardstown.  Jim was born August 24, 1943 in Magnolia, a retired factory representative for Bil-Jax, an Air Force Veteran who served in Vietnam, and a member of Bardstown Baptist Church.  Jim enjoyed scuba diving, fishing, golf, and flying small engine planes.  He especially loved spending time and sharing stories with his friends at Maywood.

He is survived by his parents, Allen and Bernice Parker of Bardstown; brother, Mike Parker of Napa, California; sister, Beckie (Ken) Hatfield of Bardstown; niece, Sarah Hatfield of Seattle, Washington; and three nephews, Jeremy, Noah, and Logan Parker.

His funeral service will be 4:00 pm Thursday December 14, 2017 at Barlow Funeral Home.  Carl Malz and Dr. Randal Pollock will officiate.  Visitation will be 11 am to 4 pm Thursday, December 14 at Barlow Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may go to Flaget Cancer Center, Project Hope.
