Elizabeth "Libby" Ballard

Elizabeth “Libby” Ballard, 91 of Bardstown died Monday, November 13, 2017 at Windsor Gardens.  She was born February 26, 1926 in Washington County, KY.  She was a member of Bardstown United Methodist Church and a loving mother.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Ballard; infant son, Edward Ray Ballard; infant grandson, Christopher Wayne Ballard; parents, Jetson and Lillie Lyddane; sisters and brother, Dorothy Nutgrass, Rudolph Lyddane, and Joyce Smith.

She is survived by two daughters, Karin (Rick) Ahrens of Eddyville, KY and Sheila (Jack) Funk of Bardstown; son, Charlie (Belinda) Ballard of White House, TN; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Fannie Greer and Betty Graham both of Bardstown; brother, Larry Lyddane of Bardstown; and several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral service will be at 1:00 pm Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Bardstown United Methodist Church with burial in Bardstown Cemetery.  Rev. Phil Bradley will officiate.  Visitation will be from 3 till 8 pm Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Barlow Funeral Home and from 11 am till 1 pm Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Bardstown United Methodist Church.

Memorial contribution may go to Hospice of Nelson County or Bardstown United Methodist Church.
