Edith Miller Obituary

Edith Wathen Miller, 94, of Bardstown, passed away Tuesday February 20, 2018 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. She was born September 30, 1923 in Fredericktown, and a member of St. Gregory Catholic Church. Edith and her husband were incredible ballroom dancers and she made her own gorgeous dancing dresses and other beautiful clothing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George R. Miller; infant daughter, Janet Miller; parents, Joseph and Gertrude Wathen; four brothers, Tony, Paul, Charlie, and Joe Wathen; and two sisters, Margie Hamilton, and Virginia Edelen.

She is survived by her daughter, Jackie Hicks; grandson, Andrew Hicks; sister, Mary Breeden all of Bardstown; and several nieces and nephews.

Her Funeral Mass will be 11:00 am Friday February 23, 2018 at St. Gregory Catholic Church, with burial in Calvary Cemetery in Louisville. Rev. Peter Do will officiate. Visitation will be 3 to 8 pm Thursday February 22 and 9 to 10:15 am Friday February 23 at Barlow Funeral Home. A prayer service will be 7 pm Thursday.

Memorial contributions may go to Kosair Children’s Hospital.
