Donald F. Hardin

Donald F. Hardin, 71, of Bardstown, passed away Friday May 5, 2017 at Robley Rex VA Medical Center.  He was born August 18, 1945 in Bardstown, a retired loan officer, United States Air Force Veteran, volunteer for Salvation Army, past member of Kentucky State Fair Board, active with Nelson County Republican Party, enjoyed playing Santa for all the kids, and of the Baptist Faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary Catherine Hardin.

He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie (Robbie) Blanford of Bardstown; son, Sterling (Katie) Hardin of Louisville; three grandchildren, Elijah Blanford, Cooper Hardin, and Leo Hardin; three sisters, Barbara (Jack) Brown of Americus, Georgia, Genie Dennis and Denise Kerr both of Bardstown; brother, Gerry (Susan) Hardin of Bardstown; and several nieces and nephews.

His funeral service will be 11:00 am Thursday May 11, 2017 at Barlow Funeral Home, with cremation to follow.  Visitation will be 3 to 8 pm Wednesday May 10 and 9 to 11 am Thursday May 11 at Barlow Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may go to Salvation Army or American Cancer Society.
