I am so sorry to hear about Dave's death. I had a great admiration for Dave. He and Sharon and his family were terrific parishioners at St. Joe's. He was so helpful and supportive during my years as an associate-pastor there during the early 80s. I enjoyed his sense of humor, musical talents and generosity, plus I always thought he was one cool man. I am grateful for the wonderful friendship I had with all the Bades. I cannot how difficult it must be for you all to say good bye to Dave. Thank you all for the excellent obitrary that brought back many good memories for me. I have so many happy memories of Dave as a wonderful neighbor during his salesman days in Toledo,Ohio. He even conned me into accompanying him in a rendition of "prepare he the way of the Lord" from Godspell, at St. Jude in Toledo. When Dave asked you, you said yes. He was that sort of guy.
