Benita Blandford, 68, of Nazareth, passed away Wednesday February 7, 2018 at her residence. She was born March 25, 1949 in Bardstown, employee for Windsor Gardens, former employee for St. Joseph Elementary, Bethlehem High School, and Flaget Memorial Hospital, and of the Catholic faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Thelma Smith; brother, Pat Smith; sister, Mildred Ball; and father of her children, Ronnie Blandford.
She is survived by her three children, Felicia (Steve) Wilkerson of Louisville, Tony Blandford of Bardstown, and Amber (Shawn) Drake of Mt. Washington; five grandchildren, Jordan Ball, Harrison Rogers, A.J. Blandford, Aidan Blandford, and Bella Blandford; two sisters, Sister Louise Smith of Nazareth, and Rita Rapier of North Carolina; brother, Jodie Smith of Nazareth; and several nieces and nephews.
Her memorial service will be 5:00 pm Friday February 9, 2018 at Barlow Funeral Home, with inurnment in St. Joseph Cemetery at a later date. Deacon Sam Filiatreau will officiate. Visitation will be 2 to 8 pm Friday February 9, 2018 at Barlow Funeral Home.
