Annie Laurie Parrott Dillard

June 8, 1942 ~ October 8, 2017 (age 75) 75 Years Old

Annie Laurie Parrott Dillard, beloved wife of Kenneth B Dillard, Jr.  passed away at her home on October 8 surrounded by her loving family after courageously fighting both debilitating rheumatoid arthritis and cancer. Laurie was born in Lebanon, Kentucky, daughter of the late Evan H “Shyne” & Elizabeth “Liz” Noe Parrott of Lebanon, KY. She is a graduate of St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing and spent her professional career caring for others in their time of need in Louisville, Bowling Green and Danville before settling in Bardstown.

 

Laurie is survived by three children, Deborah Dillard Norris (Jacob) of Bardstown, KY, Kathryn Dillard Blevins (Chad) of Sammamish, WA and Patrick Dillard (Dawn) of Bardstown, KY, stepson Kenneth B Dillard III of Cincinnatti, OH, stepdaughter Laurie Johnson of Louisville, KY, five much loved grandchildren (Josh Dillard, Madeline Sims, Nicholas Sims, Benjamin Sims and Olivia Blevins), five siblings, Colonel Evan H. Parrott, Jr., (USAF, Retired) (Ellie) of Ashburn, VA, Peggy Feige (Edmund F Feige, LTC (USA, Retired), Annandale, VA, Betty Barnett (Lee) of Alexander City, AL, Sue Winfield (Dave) of Fairfax, VA, and Rita Parrott of Campbell, CA and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

 

The family wishes to express its heartfelt thanks to the skilled and thoughtful employees of Colonial Nursing Home and especially for the care and many kindnesses given by the staff of Hospice of Nelson County.

 

A Mass of Catholic faith will celebrate Laurie’s life at 11:00 AM Friday October 13, 2017 at St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.  Rev. Joe Batcheldor will officiate.  Visitation will be at Thursday, Oct 12, from 3 till 8 pm and Friday, Oct. 13, 9 till 10Aat Barlow Funeral Home.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Hospice of Nelson County.
