Allen Joyce "Junie" Mason Jr.

Allen Joyce “Junie” Mason Jr., 51, of Bloomfield, passed away Friday September 29, 2017 at Flaget Memorial Hospital.  He was born September 17, 1966 in Bardstown, employee for Nelson County Board of Education for 29 years, and a member of Campbell’s Chapel AME Zion Church in Bloomfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Tresa Mason; brother, Dave Mason; sister, Stacy Mason; two step-brothers, Allen Satchell, and Barry Lamar; maternal grandmother, Mary Graham; nephew, Vincent Wiggington; and aunt, Lillie Plummer.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Tammy Mason; two sons, Cameron “Geeford” Mason, and Chance “Deeda” Mason; two sisters, Darlene (John) Miles all of Bloomfield, and Aretha Mason of Bardstown; three brothers, Clyde (Martha) Mason of Bloomfield, Vincent Mason of Owensboro, and Claude Scott of Radcliff; and a host of nieces and nephews.

His funeral service will be 1:00 pm Tuesday October 3, 2017 at Barlow Funeral Home, with burial in Bloomfield Cemetery.  Rev. Don Burley will officiate.  Visitation will be 11 am to 1 pm Tuesday October 3 at Barlow Funeral Home.
